Bavarian Arts & Crafts Exhibition: Munich, Salvatorplatz 4

With Bavarian Arts & Crafts, The Rope | Gallery turns its attention for the first time to Bavaria’s contemporary art and design scene, presenting works by a new and established generation of artists and designers from October 15 to November 14, 2026. 

Unique pieces and editions combine traditional craft techniques with industrial processes, new materials and digital approaches – spanning ceramics, textiles, glass, bronze, paper and contemporary design. 
The exhibition features works by Bodo Sperlein, Boris Angele, Christian Haas, Ursula Wagner, Maxine Weiss, Ludwig Stalla, Milan Mulzer, Yonas Moeller, Helmut Hinterseer, Laura Killer, Office Heinzelmann Ayadi, Alfred Görig, Anne Fischer, as well as Mirko Borsche & Relvãokellermann, with selected glass works presented in collaboration with VAN TREECK - Gustav van Treeck Werkstätten für Mosaik und Glasmalerei.

The exhibition celebrates the quality, diversity and individuality of a locally rooted creative scene with relevance far beyond Bavaria. Rather than defining a specific Bavarian aesthetic, Bavarian Arts & Crafts explores the different ways in which craftsmanship, material and contemporary forms of artistic and creative expression intersect today.
